but in the end they did prefer to have their own spots, also because the cat has strong smelling glands around the whiskers area, which the dogs dont necessarily want smelling up their water, these cat and dog feromones are quite distinct to them since they have very sensitive senses of smell, thats also why i think the chumley didnt really drink from the bowl after, (1) cause hes off, and

know what you are saying, though i feel this cat is someone newish to the family, cause of the other vids and how he’s a little wild and all, but i may be wrong – also we had a cat with 3 dogs at one point and they did sometimes share,

In the vid, she says,” chumley, you’re drinking his water”
I think they may have separate bowls, but the cat decided the dogs bowl was more convenient.
My parents dog and cat do this to each other also, they sometimes get into minor spats, but they don’t seriously fight over it.
usually it’s more of a nudging match(the dog is a pomeranian, so they’re about the same size).

  14. cashox1 Says:

    give them separate …
give them separate water bowls, would make things easier, and im not sure chumly wants to share so soon, specially with the cats attitude, he looks so bruised by it – poor doog
