I had the same problem, The way I solved it was to get the water bowl and food bowl off the ground. You can make or buy a holder that will elevate the bowls off the floor a little and that will keep your dog from doing that.

My dog does the same thing…but not just with water bowls. She does it with kiddie pools, creeks,lakes, any body of water she can find, and she takes anything in the water out…leaves, sticks, dog food. I asked my vet and she said she was obsessive with water. I think she is just weird. You could try different bowls, I just started walking up to her whenever she does it in the house and standing my ground and saying NO. All dogs are different but you never know. Now she will do it outside only. If I put a bowl of water outside she will even do it but she won’t do it in the house anymore. My suggestion is to put something with water in it outside as a TOY and something the dog can focus energy on and let it know that inside bad and outside good.

some dogs just love water, but you can either place less water at a time. an elevated water bowl can help too. But from the sound of it I bet you have a lab or any one of them breeds that love water, hard to break just maybe deal with it or try catching her and snapping a rolled up newspaper on the palm of your hand to distract her followed by a stern "no"

Get a water bottle that they have to lick the spout. Can't get it all over then.

no idea, my cousins lab will take a full dish of food and use his nose and knock all of the food all over the floor, weird!

Somewhere along the line she's learned this. You can try training it out of her if you can catch her doing it. Or you can change the kind of bowl she has to make it more difficult. Or only put a little water in the bowl at a time.
